Operating Procedures Suggestion
Configure the standard operating procedures that are commonly used in your operation domain, to speed up activities and to comply with regulatory protocols in emergency response. Unique EMS selects for you the applicable procedures based on the case data.
Custom assessment protocols
Unique EMS includes a module for creating custom question and answer sequences, EMS pre-arrival instructions (IPA) and post-dispatch directions. The protocols created with Unique EMS are always navigable back and forth during the interview.
Certified assessment protocols
In addition to custom assessment protocols, Unique EMS supports Priority Dispatch’s ProQA® Medical protocol – International Academies of Emergency Dispatch (IAED) MPDS® system. It is the first CAD to have received the International ProQA® Paramount Titanium certification First CAD with ProQA Paramount Titanium International Certification: Medical – Fire – Police for EMS, Fire and Police.
Interaction with hospitals
With Unique EMS you have access to all the information provided by hospitals regarding the availability of beds, the operating status of medical equipment (CT scan, operating rooms, …), and ward access times. This information is crucial for the logistics of the intervention.

The platform includes the web-based features that allow to manage some of the case data from remote operations centres and from the offices of voluntary associations. Using the mobile tools, rescue teams and paramedics can update availability, information about on-board staff, vehicles equipment checklists and consult mission data, even from tablets and on the move.

Geofencing – decision support based on geographic areas
Unique EMS includes automatic features that are triggered based on proximity/inclusion with respect to specific areas of the territory. For example, the operator can be warned if the ambulance is near the target, to notify people waiting for it. The proximity can also be evaluated on a time factor, instead of the geographic distance.
Next-generation GIS and map features
The integrated map module included in Unique EMS expands the normally intended map functions for CADs. Thanks to the synergies with top level information providers, including Google professional services, you have at your disposal data on opening hours, contact details, photo references of places, with the most up-to-date information sets.

Multidisciplinary vocation: case sharing and process control

Unique EMS working principle is that of create a shared command and control desk and to make it available on each workstation in the Control Room. Then, the traditional CAD becomes a digital and interactive dashboard accessible by each operator, from call-takers to managers and coordinators of other Bodies.
Actions and data can be shared with any operator available for the case management.
All the data collected contribute to the subsequent management of the same event and support the management of related cases. Roles are respected, but technological and process barriers are removed.
The principle of a common digital desk allows a link between distinct EMS structures and between different and remote Emergency Agencies.
The propagation of information is immediate to all work sessions involved, even to mobile devices and MDTs / on-board computers.
